Our Children's Classes
* You are warmly invited to bring your children (ages 4-7 and ages 8-10) and junior youth (ages 10-14) to our regularly held children's classes, and junior youth gatherings in our area. These classes are based on virtues, moral principles, religious history and addressing in a positive way the challenges of the world, and taught by teachers of good character and suitable experience.
Also, here is a good link to the educative programs and materials used by the Baha'i community world-wide, whether for junior youth, children, youth, or adults: http://www.ruhi.org/materials/list.php#
Linda Popov, our friend from the South Pacific, who lived on Salt Spring Island for years, has presented many workshops here and around the world on "Raising Kind Kids" which are well-attended by many young mothers and teachers who enthusiastically embrace the language of virtues and the strategies shared to bring them out in our children.
Linda Kavelin Popov is a psychotherapist, author, and co-Founder of The Virtues Project, an initiative to inspire the practice of virtues in everyday life. The Project was honored by the United Nations as a model global program for all cultures. Linda is the author of the international best seller The Family Virtues Guide, (Penguin 1997) and The Virtues Project Educator’s Guide.
